Goshavank

Goshavank is sitated in village Gosh in Tavush district. In 12-13 c. it was one of the most famous educational, cultural and religious centre of Armenia. Goshavank was erected in place of an older monastery, Getik, which had been destroyed by an earthquake in 13 century with Ivane Zakaryan's help and was named Goshavank in honour  Mkhitar Gosh.
