Khosrov reserve

Khosrov forest or Khosrov reserve is located in Ararat district, located at an altitude of 1600-2300m above sea level and covers 27.000 hectare of area. Since 1958 Khosrov forest is considered to be a State reserve. The eserve was called Khosrov in honor of the Armenian king Khosrov II Kotak. In Khosrov forest Geghard, Havuts Tar, Kakavaberd, and many other historical monuments are located.
