Tatev village is situated in the Syunik Province of Armenia. Its population in 2010 was 892 compared to 2001 when the population was 1042 there were many people who went to live in the capital of Armenia. Tatev village is a great place for the tourists to discover Armenia.
Tatev Monastery was found in the 9th-century. It is an Armenian Apostolic monastery. The word "Tatev" is usually associated with the monastery although it is the name of the whole village. Wings of Tatev is the longest cable car in the world. It is a 5.7 km (3.5 mi) cableway between Halidzor and the monastery. Besides being the longest cable car, it is also a non-stop double track cable car. Its construction was finished on the 16th of October in 2010.
