World Congress on Information technology 2019 Armenia


The World Information Technology Forum is going to be held in Armenia on October 6-9, 2019. It will attract more than 2500 visitors from different countries to Armenia.

What is World Congress on Information Technology?

WCIT – the World Congress on Information Technology – is a congress held annually. Here the world’s leading technology thinkers and innovators have a great opportunity to gather and discuss the key questions of the industry and the world.

The congress brings together more than 2,000 high-level public and public sector representatives from over 60 countries, including heads of state, investors, startup founders, and academic thought leaders.

"The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) - 2018" was held in the Indian city of Hyderabad. Armenia also took part in the forum in India, which was held during February 19-21.

This year, in 2019 World Congress on information technology forum will be held in Armenia in October. “Fulfilling the Promise of the Digital Age - The Power of Decentralization” is going to be the theme.

At a press conference, the Chairman of the Union of Leading Information Technology Enterprises Alexander Yesayan noted that in 2018 quite intensive work was going to be done during preparing the forum in Armenia.

“Important agreements have been reached with a number of countries. A meeting with relevant partners was held in Taiwan, a preliminary agreement was reached with Computex on holding an exhibition. In March, we are waiting for the visit of the delegation from Taiwan,” said Alexander Yesayan. 

He promised that the list of companies whose leaders will take part in the world IT forum will be published soon. Negotiations are in process with Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc.
