Selim caravansary was built at 1332g. under Prince Chesare Orbelian. Located on the eastern slope of the Selim Pass (2410m). The length of the caravanserai 35.5 m .The building is laid out chistotesanyh basalt slabs. Gable roof is covered with large stone slabs laid like tiles, indicating that the technical experience and skill of the architect.

Was built east of town Sevan on the peninsula of Sevan, the former was once an island. Archaeological excavations on the peninsula showed signs of settlements Neolithic and Bronze Age.

Shatinvank is situated near Shatin village located in Vardenis ridge in Vayots Dzor district. The monastery was constructed in the 10-th century. Several khachkars of that period persist until our days. The main church was built in the 17-th century. There were fort walls built at the monastery surroundings but both monastery and the fort walls are dilapidated.

Shkmurad monastery is located near Caxkavan village in Tavush district. The monastery was built in the 12-th century, there was a chapel and 2 gavits near the church.

The Shoghakat church is situated in the spiritual center of Armenia, in Vagharshapat city of Armavir region. The church was built in the 17-th century and it is supposed that it was built on the basis of an earlier building. According to the legend the church was built at the location where the «rays dripped» upon Christian Hripsime’s martyrs. The name of the church came from here.

Shoshka monastery is located in the middle of Gavakhan and Msna villages in Artsakh. The main church of the monastery St. Stepanos was built by Usep and Gevorg masters in the middle of the 17-th century. The monastery was destroyed totally by the turks. It was reconstructed in the 17-th century, then completely renovated in 1999.

There is a fortress in Artsakh, in city of Shushi. It is a 18-th century building and belonged to Melik-Shaknazaryan. This medieval fortress had it's secret passage, which goes out near river Karkar.

The Smbataberd fortress is located in the Vayots Dzor district, to the east of the Artabuynk village. First time the fortress was mentioned in the 5th century, when bloody battle took place between Armenians and Persians. The fort is divided on 2 sides, and there are preserved ruins of a middle-fort dwellings and water-pools.

Spitakavor St. Holy Mother monastery is situated in the village Vernashen in Vayots Dzor district. It was constructed in the 14-th century by prince Eachi. Under the monastery walls there is a grave of Armenian Great General Garegin Nzhdeh. Spitakavor monastery is also called as The Flower monastery.

The Areni village was an old and famous village in Vayots Dzor district. In the 13th century the Syunik’s ruler Orbelyan Tarsaitch moved his palace from Yeghegis to Areni. St.Astvatzatzin (Holy Virgin) church is located on the eastern edge of the Areni village. It was built by architect and painter Momik in 1321.
