Ejmiatzin cathedral was built in 301-303 by Grigor Lusavorich (Gregory the Еnlightener), the founder of the Armenian Gregorian church next to the king’s palace, in place of a destroyed heathen basilica.The place called Ejmiatzin because, as the legent tells, Gregory the Еnlightener's dream Jesus Himself descended from heaven to show where He wanted a church to be built.

Zorats Karer or Karahunj is located near Sisian town in Syunik district. It is one of the most ancient megalithic constructions of the world. It served as an observatory and was built in VI millennium B.C.

The church Yot Verk is located in the centre of Armenian 2-nd biggest city in Gyumri (Shirak district). It was constructed in the half of 19-th century and was called St. Holly Mother, but now it is famous as Seven wounds (Yot verk)

Tatev monastery was founded in the 4th century, it is situated near the village of the same name in part of Zangezur - ancient Syunik. From 10 to 13 th centuries it was as an educational center. At the end of the 8-th century Syunik's bishop was sitting there. Tatev's castle and monastery is composed from 3 churches, also there are mausoleum, refectory, bookhouse as well as other auxiliary buildings.

Tatev Hermitage is located in the Syunik district, and was one of the most important constructions of middle ages in Armenia, and especially had a huge importance during Davit Bek's liberation war in the 18-th century. Founded teacher Aristakes in the 17-th century after Haranc Hermitage was destroyed and unity moved here.
Zvartnots temple is situated 3km south from Vagharshapat, was built in the middle of the 7th century. Zvartnoc was built by Catholicos Nerses.
