Fortress of Amberd - Midcentury fortcity built in the 10-th century. One of more interesting tourist attraction is situated in Aragatsotn region, on the southern wing of Aragatz mountain.
Some buildings were build by Kamsarakans during the 7-th century. In the begining of the 13-th century Amberd became Vachoutyan's admininstrative centre. It has been totally destroyed in 1236 by mongols.
