Yerevan - Amberd - Ttu Jur - Hankavan - Tsovagiugh - Kalavan village - Gosh village - Dilijan - Lake Sevan - Vardenis - Al Lake - Jermuk - Sisian - Tatev - Yerevan
Arrival in Zvartnots International Airport and transfer to the hotel located in the center of Yerevan. After accommodation in a hotel you have free time for preparation. In case if you don’t have your own bikes we will help you rent them or in case you have your own bike with you it’s time to prepare it. Then we will have short city tour visiting Yerevan famous Brandy factory established in XIX century, the Cascade, where we will visit Gaifesjian Museum and have beautiful view of Yerevan. Then we will walk down through Cascade, to the center of the city, where we will see the monument of famous architect A. Tamanyan, Opera and Ballet Theatre House and surrounding monuments of famous Composers Aram Khachaturyan, Alexander Spendiaryan and Armenian famous writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. We will have Welcome Dinner in one of the nice restaurants in the center of Yerevan, tasting Armenian kitchen and enjoying Armenian music. After dinner we will embark on an evening tour of Yerevan city that includes walking through nice Northern prospect towards the Republic Square, where we can enjoy the Large Dancing Water Fountains.

After breakfast at the hotel will drive to the North-West towards the highest mountain of Armenia -Aragats (4090 m) to visit Amberd Fortress, a midcentury fort-city built during the 10th century. We will enjoy the landscape surrounding the fortress and alpine flowers near the fortress and on the wings of Aragats. Then we will ride from Amberd fortress through Orgov canyon to Antarut village, crossing about 13 km and going down from 2200 to 1600 m in altitude. After the lunch in Byurakan village our minibus will take us to Aparan city and from there to Ttujur village, located in front of Aragats mount, on the altitude of 1900 meters. From here we will start the second part of our ride – an uphill of 9 kilometers with a vertical gain of about 600 meters. At this point we will get a breathtaking view of Aragats mount with its four peaks from one side and Hankavan mountain ridge from the othe side. Then we will ride about 8 km of downhill to Hankavan village, located at an altitude of about 1960 meters. Here we will get to a hotel near the village, where we will have a dinner and will stay for overnight.

After breakfast at the hotel we will transfer from Hankavan to Lake Sevan, which is the largest lake in Caucasus as well as one of the largest, and highest freshwater lakes of the world located on 1897 meter above sea level, with an area of 1260 km square and the volume of 58 billion cubic meters. We will start our ride from Tsovagyugh, and we will bike about 16 km via a dirt-road through the peaks of mountain ridge along Sevan lake, acceding in altitude from 2000 m. to 2500m. and going down to 2300m., and then will start a downhill of about another 16 km through Kalavan village to Dilijan-Krasnoselsk road, descending from 2300m to 1200 m of altitude. Then we will take our minibus and continue our way to the Gosh village, where we will visit Goshavank Monastery built in XII - XIII centuries. After excursion in the Monastery we will continue our trip through Dilijan back to Lake Sevan. After accommodation in a hotel on the shore of Lake Sevan we will have dinner with famous fish barbeque and will enjoy a beautiful evening view of the lake and the sunset.
This day we will spend at the shore of Lake Sevan. After the breakfast our minibus will take us to to Drakhtik village, from where we will start uphill riding for about 7 kilometers, acceding from 1960 to 2480 meters, will continue our riding for another 7 kilometers through the peaks of Sevan mountain ridge enjoying the views of the lake and Geghama mountains plateau, and will take a steep downhill of about 2.4 kilometers, descending from 2310 to 1920meters of altitude. Then we will ride on-road back to our hotel and will have lunch. In summer, the middle temperature of lake surface is 18-23 degrees above zero, which is very convenient for swimming. After lunch we will have free time for swimming, boating. Also we can visit Sevanavank monastery located on the top of Sevan Peninsula and built in 305 A.C. by the daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni – Mariam. During the 9th century the Monastery became the royal citadel of the Armenian Kings. Breakfast and dinner included.
After breakfast at the hotel we will take minibus to Akhpradzor village near Vardenis city, from where we will ride through mountainous way towards Al Lake acceding for about 14 km from 2300 to 2800 meters. Having lunch at the shore of Al Lake, we will ride another 16 km, descending from 2800 m to 2100 m and will reach Jermuk town, which is one of the most beautiful health resorts and famous with its mineral water. After reaching Jermuk and accommodation at the hotel we will have a city tour including drinking mineral water in Gallery and visiting the Gorge of Jermuk and enjoying the beautiful waterfall. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jermuk.

After breakfast at the hotel we will ride through mountainous route to the South to Syunik Region, which will direct us close to the Tsghuk Mountain (3300 meters above sea level). On the wings of the mountain we will visit one of the unique wonders of the world, rock carvings of Camel Mountain from pre-historic era. After interesting mountainous biking we will ride to the highway, from where our minibus will take us to Sisian town. On the way we will visit one of the most ancient megalithic constructions of the world called Zorats Karer (Stonehenge). The two-meter pointed blocks last precisely from the south to the north, fencing large territory, in the center they form a correct circle. There is a hypothesis among scientists, that Zorats Karer is an observatory built in VI mil. B.C. Scientists have found similar constructions in many areas of Europe. The most known of them is the Stonehenge (II mil. B.C.). We will stay for overnight in a hotel in Sisian, where we will have lavash baking and have a dinner, accompanied with performance of young dancers’ ensemble of Sisian.

After breakfast we will start our biking tour to Ltsen village on the way visiting the Monastery Vorotnavank built in 1000 AD. We will have lunch in Ltsen village. After lunch we will take the mountainous route along Vorotan river gorge and will ride to Tatev village. This is really magic route surrounded by forest landscape and the view of the gorge is very amazing. Reaching Tatev village we will visit Tatev Monastery Complex built in 895-906, which is one of the most important Education and Religion Centers situated in medieval Syunik region and is in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visiting Tatev Monastery we will enjoy Tatev ensemble fitting in perfectly with the mountainous landscape around it. This gives the ensemble an original and majestic appearance. During the XIV and XV centuries it was famous for its university. We will stop at Tatev village for dinner and overnight. There is a longest two-way ropeway of the world in Tatev, which flies above deep Vorotan gorge opening breath-taking views of the Vorotan Canyon. We will have dinner hosted by local family and will stay for overnight in a guest house (or a B&B) in Tatev Village.

After breakfast at we will bike to the Vorotan Gorge, near Devil Bridge, from where we will take minibus to Yerevan. We will stop in Aghavnadzor village where we can explore Armenian village life typical to Vayots Dzor District culture and traditions. Introduction of old Armenian lifestyle, experiencing the hospitality and participating in Armenian Lavash (bread) baking and tasting, honey squeezing and tasting, cheese making and tasting and homemade wine and vodka tasting and also we can choose from national Armenian dishes such as tolma, harisa, apur, ghapama and many others during our lunch hosted by the local family. After lunch our next stop will be at Winery in Areni Village. After excursion in Areni Winery and tasting the variety of wines, we will continue our way to Yerevan, where after accommodation in the hotel, we will have dinner and walk in the center again enjoying night Yerevan.
