From the airport we will drive towards Aragats mountain - the place of our location. Aragats is the tallest mountain of Armenia 4090 m. The mountain itself and its surroundings were famous from the ages up to now as a place of mystic power, worship and religious rites of diverse cultures, as well as the place of specific physical and magnetic properties well known by the modern scientists. We will be accommodated in a comfortable hotel, located away from the hustle of the city on the slopes of Aragats. Here is a fascinating view of a Biblical mountain Ararat.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will visit medieval fortress Amberd located at an altitude of 2300m. above sea level. Here we will learn about the history of Armenia. Enjoying the beauty of surroundings we will get back to the hotel through mountainous routes, on the way having picnic lunch. Evening practice and dinner at the hotel.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will take our way to the crater Lake Kari, located at an altitude of 3200m. above sea level. We will make hiking near the lake enjoying beauty of the nature. As a result of the specific properties of the place a research station was founded here. Here, as well, we will see megalithic constructions called vishap, dated 5000 years B.C. On our way back we will make a stop near nomadic pastures, where we will meet Yezid shepherds. We will have a lunch with them, and will get acquainted with the interesting culture of Yezid’s community of Armenia. Evening practice and dinner at the hotel.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will spend our time in the area near the hotel, will explore and get acquainted with the medicinal plants. Then we will have a lunch at the hotel and after the lunch will head to adjacent village Byurakan. Here we will see the typical Armenian village life characterized by the rustic simplicity. In Byurakan we will be hosted in the unique ethnographic center located in a villager’s house. The founders of the center have been collecting, cherishing and cultivating Armenian folk traditions. We will enjoy our time here and will have a delicious dinner as well. After the dinner we will visit world- famous Byurakan star observatory, where we will have an exciting excursion. As it gets dark we could observe the stars. After all we will get back to hotel.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will get down at the foot of mount Aragats. Here we will visit Armenian Alphabet Park and will learn the amazing stories of creation of the scripts and its magical sites. After we will continue our way to the picturesque Saghmosavank gorge located between Aragats and Ara mountains. We will make a hiking in the gorge and will admire the eagles soaring. We will have a lunch in the garden of a villager’s house at the very edge of the gorge, and after the lunch we will return to our hotel for evening practice and dinner.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will take our way towards mountains lake Sevan located at an altitude of 1900m., which is the largest lake in Caucasus as well as the second the largest, and highest freshwater lake of the world. Here we will visit Sevan Peninsula and Sevanavank Monastery built in 9-th century. Here we will admire picturesque panoramic view on the surroundings. After the excursion we will head to Noratus village to visit the largest collection of Khachkars – cross stones, traditional Armenian stones decorated with delicate ornamental carvings. The oldest Khachkar here is dated 4th century A.C, and the latest 17 -18 centuries. After we will check- in at the hotel at the shore of the Lake Sevan. Evening practice and dinner at the hotel.

After the morning practice and breakfast we will take our way to Garni Temple, built in the second half of the 1st century A.D. and dedicated to the God Mitra, the God of the Sun. The Temple is located at the edge of the high cliff, rising above the Azat gorge. We will get down to the Canyon of Garni and continuing our way through the canyon will enjoy magnificent, seemingly artificial slopes from the foot to the top of the gorge named "Symphony of Stones". After we will have a lunch in a villager’s house and will continue our way to the monastery Geghard, built in the 4th century. The architecture of the monastery is very unique, partly hewed in the rocks, it is standing on the place of an ancient pagan shrine, spring, ascribing the miraculous features. By its architectural character and historical – cultural significance the monastery is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After visiting the monastery we will take our way to the capital of Armenia Yerevan. We will be accommodated in a hotel, have a walk in downtown and then we will have a dinner with folk show in one of the restaurants of Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

After the breakfast at the hotel we will start our city tour. We will visit the Memorial of Armenian Genocide, Cascade, then we will see the Opera and Ballet Theater, will have a walk in the Northern Avenue and will finish in the Republic Square. After we will visit a local souvenir market called – Vernissage. Then we will have a lunch in one of the restaurants and according to the time will be dropped off at the airport.
