We will meet early in the morning and will take our way to Kotayk region. We will visit Geghard Monastery founded in IV century A.D. (at that time called Ayrivank or a “Cave Monastery”). The Monastery was rebuilt in 1215, when as a legend says the name Geghard was given as the legendary spear - Geghard - (that pierced Christ) was brought there. Finishing the excursion in the monastery, we will start our snowshoe hiking not far from the monastery. Our way will pass through the valleys, hills and plateaus. Continuing our way we will get to Havuts Tar 11th century monastery, located in the Khosrov State Reserve. On the way we will have a coffee break and a picnic lunch. We will finish our hiking in the Garni canyon, near the natural monument called "Symphony of Stones". After  enjoying magnificent, seemingly artificial vertical rocks from the foot to the top of the canyon, we will get to the village to visit Garni Temple, built in the second half of the 1st century A.D. and dedicated to the God Mitra, the God of the Sun. After the excursion in the temple we will drive back to Yerevan full of memories of the trip.
