One of the most interesting tourist attractions of Syunik. 6th-century obelisk has been preserved in Aghitu village of Syunik region. Two rectangular pillars rise above the vaulted tomb, and in the centre, there is a high octagonal column richly decorated. The obelisk is decorated with pomegranate, grape and other herbal ornaments.
Akhtala village is situated in Lori district. One of the most interesting sights of Lori. There are several historical monuments persist to our days, such as Holy Virgin monastery and a castle. The castle was built in the 10-th century, and the main church of the monastery named St. Holy Virgin was built in the 13-th century. St. Holy Virgin was the biggest Chalcedon church of Armenia, and was famous cultural, educational, religious centre of that time. Inside the church there are beautiful frascoes, frets and other.
Amaras village located in the Republic of Artsakh near the town of Martuni. In this settlement, first catholicos of Armenia Gregory The Enlightener founded a monastery which construction is finished only by his bishop grandson Grigory. Amaras was known as a religious and cultural centre of Artsakh. Exactly here Mesrop Mashtoc founded the first school in Artsakh.
Fortress of Amberd - Midcentury fortcity built in the 10-th century. One of more interesting tourist attraction is situated in Aragatsotn region, on the southern wing of Aragatz mountain.
Some buildings were build by Kamsarakans during the 7-th century. In the begining of the 13-th century Amberd became Vachoutyan's admininstrative centre. It has been totally destroyed in 1236 by mongols.
The monastery and one of amazing tourist sights of Arakelots is located on the left bank of the river Kirants, 3 km west from the village Kirants. The main church of the monastery was built in the 13-th century, and the small one was built in 14-th century.
Arkazi’s St.Khach monastery is located 7km to the east from the Vernashen village of the Vayots Dzor district. Its existence has been known since the 8th century. The current church of the monastery was nearly completely reconstructed in 1870-1871. To the south-east side-chapel of the church a piece of cross belonging to Jesus is buried, that is the reason it is known as «Surb Khach» - «Holy Cross».
The Arutch monastery complex is situated at the outside part of the rock in the western foot of the mountain Aragatz (Aragatzotn district).
The Arutch temple (St. Grigor church) is one of the most remarkable attractions, monument of Armenian architecture.
It was built by Grigor Mamikonyan approximately in 660 y. There is constructed a palace also by Grigor Mamikonyan.
Castle Berdavan, one of the remarkable tourist attraction is located near Berdavan village in Tavush region.
It is 13-th century building with 11 towers and with a secret passage taking to the canyon. In the south-east side of the village there are also medieval cemetery and church ruins
Artik is rich with the monuments of Armenian culture. Here are discovered ancient tombs, also there are 2 churches here called Marine, or St. Astvatzatzin (Holy Virgin) 5 century and St. Gevorg 8 century.
Dadivank, one of amazing tourist sights, is located on the left bank of the river Tartar or Trtu in Shahumyan district in Artsakh. It was a cultural and educational centre in Khachen. Dadivank is also known as Khutavank and was founded in the 1-st century on the place where was burried Dadi, but unfortunately it was destroyed by Arabs. And the main church named Katoghike was built by Vaghtang's wife Arzukhatun, in the 13-th century.
